Our K9 training seminars take place in Florida and include classroom and field exercises each day.

After classroom instruction, field training utilizes storage units, warehouses, vehicles, boats, an airport, and a hotel.

13th Annual Drug and Bomb Seminar
4 days: 3 Seminar days, 1 certification day.

The Drug and Bomb Seminar is designed to enhance a K9 Handler's abilities.

Date: November 8, 9, 10, and 11
Hours: 10am to 6pm daily
Venue: Class begins in the conference room at the Ramada Inn, Daytona Beach, Florida

Instructors:

Bill Heiser – President and K9 trainer, Southern Hills Kennels
Frank Campbell – K9 trainer with St. Petersburg Police Department
Andy Weiman – K9 trainer and handler with Broward County Sheriff’s Office
Kevin Laing – Head K9 trainer with Southern Hills Kennels
Jeff Wilbur – Previous K9 trainer and handler with Seminole County Sheriff’s Office
Greg Taylor – Narcotics Investigator, K9 trainer and handler with Volusia County Sheriff’s Office
Joey Roamer – Previous K9 trainer and handler with over 10 years experience with St. Johns County Sheriff’s Office
Bill Ridgeway – Deputy Chief and previous K9 trainer and handler with the DeLand Police Department
Carmen Cantalia – Bomb Technician and K9 explosives handler with the Federal Bureau of Investigation

Equipment:

Attendees must provide a K9 and all K9 equipment required for the seminar.

Cost and Payment:

$295.00 - Due upon registration. Payable to Southern Hills Kennels.
$50 – For K9 Certification by American Detection K-9 Association. Payable to Southern Hills Kennels.
$50 – For K9 Certification by United States Police Canine Association. Payable to USPCA. Non-member pay $100 which automatically includes membership. The United States Police Canine Association will have judges on hand November 5th, 2009 after the seminar for Law Enforcement Officers wishing to certify.
